EMA prides itself in working very closely with our end customers from the earliest days of design concept through to development and qualification of a stable manufacturing processes.

EMA works in partnership with the customer and ensures that the processes at EMA are available for customer use. Support, participation, engagement and influence is provided at all stages of new product development.
Activities include, but are not exclusive to:
- Design feasibility reviews
- Specification Development
- Samples provision
- Manufacturing process development
- Test
- Detection Development.
EMA welcomes and encourages customer participation in our own process development. Similarly EMA’s support will extend into the customers manufacturing process where it is asked for.
Our experience in working with key Automotive OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers stands us in good stead for current and future projects. All process stages are developed and documented to integrate into our Quality Management System.
Where it is required EMA will provide its customer with a level 3 Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). This detailed documentation pack demonstrates that our parts can and will meet manufacturability and quality requirements run at the quoted production rate.
PPAP coverage is inclusive of the following areas : Design Records, Authorized Engineering Change (note) Documents, Engineering Approval Records, DFMEA, Process Flow Diagram, Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Control Plan, Measurement System Analysis Studies (MSA), Dimensional Results, Records of Material / Performance Tests, Initial Sample Inspection Report, Initial Process Studies ( Statistical Process Control ), Qualified Laboratory Documentation, Appearance Approval Report, Sample Production Parts, Master Sample, Checking Aids, Customer-Specific Requirements, Part Submission Warrant (PSW).
