EMA

Design

EMA have teamed up with an outsourced Design House to offer our clients the combination of precision analogue and digital circuit design with ASIC and embedded software authoring as well as s-parameter, SPICE and digital simulation allows the modelling of components, circuit design and PCB layout for virtually any type of product.

From a blank sheet of paper to an innovative, reliable product in the shortest possible time.

Fast, effective and always innovative.

Demystifying RF

EMA's expertise in RF has already created TileWareŽ - the industry's smallest surface-mount, receivers and transmitters. It has also produced one of the few "un-grabable" encrypted RF transmission codes currently in use in the automotive market.

Our knowledge of the intricacies of RF design, protocols and approvals helps customers to integrate low-power RF capability into applications such as remote entry and security systems, data loggers and home automation.

Automotive

Our background is automotive. We combine Lucas/TRW-trained designers with over ten years of experience in manufacturing remote-entry key-fobs, power converters, vehicle timers and other products for the automotive industry. EMA processes and procedures comply with TS16949 to ensure that automotive standards are applied to every product we design and manufacture.

Design for Manufacture

Every customer design we undertake is audited against EMA's production processes. The small changes that the designers suggest often make a significant difference to manufacturing cost, yield and product reliability. With every process from hand-assembly to high speed surface mount placement performed in-house, EMA's  production engineers have total control and total accountability for meeting customers' agreed production targets

Project Management

Effective management of a design project is as vital as the design itself. Project timing and milestones are defined as soon as a client's requirements have been discussed and are submitted with our formal proposal and quotation. Weekly internal "core team" meetings ensure that every department is working together. Project plans are constantly updated and are available to all team members on EMA's Intranet. Regular peer-group reviews ensure that designs are robust and optimised in terms of cost and manufacturability.
